A mortice and tenon joint comes in a variety of different types, which are used for different purposes. Some are stronger than others, some are easier and more practical to create, such as a basic through mortice and tenon joint is quicker and easier to produce than a double, or muliple tenon. I am often asked what the difference is between a Joiner and a Carpenter. Well I can tell you that there are many differences, mainly in the different types of working practices and methods. I thought it would be easier for me to draw on some existing websites that contain this information, so I have attached a few links for you to follow. Hopefully you will find your answer, but if any further information is require, then please reply. |
